Byodo-in Temple

Yorimichi Fujiwara converted a villa of his father, Michinaga into a temple 'Uji Byodoin'. it is a symbol of the glory of Fujiwara family. The highlight is 'Amitabha hall'(National treasure), which is the only building remaining from the time of construction. It is a representative example of an architectural style which incorporates the world and majesty of the Buddhism paradise.
