Toji Temple (Kyoogokokuji Temple)

One of the temples built in the west side and east side of Rajomon gate when the capital was transferesd to Kyoto in Heian period is 'Toji Temple'. Its formal name is 'Kyoogokokuji Temple'. Its five story pagoda(national treasure) remains today which was rebuilt by iemitsu Tokugawa, is 55 meters tall is higher than any other those. Free market which is held on 21st of every months, is full of people.
