This Privacy Policy establishes the fundamental guidelines for Charichari Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) regarding all personal data collected by the Company.

    The Company strictly complies with laws concerning the protection of personal data and this Personal Data Protection Policy when handling personal data.

  • 2. Definition of Personal Data

    Personal data refers to information that can identify a specific individual, such as address, name, telephone number, fax number, and email address.
    It also includes information that can be easily cross-referenced with other information to thereby identify a specific individual.

  • 3. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Data

    We collect and use personal data at our physical stores and on our operated websites, within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes listed below, in situations such as product purchases, membership registration, survey responses, and inquiries.

    (1) To perform the entrusted bicycle anti-theft registration mandated by Article 12, Paragraph 3 of the Act on Promotion of Safe Use of Bicycles and Improvement of Bicycle Parking Facilities
    (2) To collect and deliver products purchased by customers and products for which repair requests have been received
    (3) For our marketing, sales promotion, market research, and service improvement
    (4) To confirm the owner and model type of purchased products
    (5) To provide information about products and services we handle

  • 4. Provision of Personal Data to Third Parties (We will not provide personal data to third parties inappropriately.)

    We will not disclose or provide personal data to third parties except in the following cases:

    (1) When the individual has given consent
    (2) When a formal written request for cooperation or inquiry is received from an entity with legal authority to make such inquiries
    (3) When necessary to protect human life, body, or property, and obtaining the customer's consent is difficult
    (4) When entrusting the handling of personal data to a third party within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
    (5) When all or part of the business is transferred due to a merger, spin-off, business transfer, etc.
    (6) When disclosure is requested pursuant to other legal provisions

  • 5. Provision, Entrustment, and Transfer of Personal Data to Third Parties

    1. Our company will provide personal data to third parties based on laws and regulations, with the user's consent, or pursuant to Section 6 of our separately established “Privacy Policy.”

     

    2.Consent Accompanying Business Succession

    The user hereby consents in advance to the transfer of their personal data collected under the former kotobike service to our company, following Kyubei Co., Ltd.'s absorption-type split to succeed the “kotobike” shared bicycle service business from our company.

     

    3.Outsourcing During Transition Period

    During the transition period ending March 31, 2026, our company will outsource all or part of the operations of this service, the processing of personal data, customer support, and billing collection to Kyube Co., Ltd. (the former operator). Kyube Co., Ltd. shall handle users' personal data within the scope of this outsourced work and based on our company's instructions.

     

    4.Business Outsourcing

    In addition to the preceding paragraph, we may outsource all or part of the operations involving the handling of personal data to third parties within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use. We shall require such third parties to implement necessary management measures for personal information protection and shall exercise appropriate supervision.

     

    5. Inquiries and Complaints Regarding Personal Data Handling

    For inquiries or complaints regarding our handling of personal data, please contact the following office.

     

    6.Disclosure to the Individual

    If a customer requests disclosure of personal data held by our company, we will disclose it only after confirming the request is from the individual themselves.

     

    7.Outsourcing of Personal Data Handling

    Our company may outsource all or part of the operations involving the handling of personal data to third parties within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use. We will require such contractors to implement necessary management measures for personal data protection and will exercise appropriate supervision.

    8. Security Management Measures

    We will manage acquired personal data appropriately, strive to prevent leakage, falsification, and unauthorized access to personal data, and implement appropriate security management measures.

    9. Changes to the Personal Data Protection Policy

    We may change this policy without obtaining your consent when responding to changes in laws, regulations, or other relevant norms, or when we deem it necessary.

  • Supplementary Provisions

    1. (Effective Date) This Policy shall take effect on December 1, 2025. On that date, the previous Personal Information Protection Policy established by Kyube Co., Ltd. shall be abolished, and this Policy shall apply.
    2. (Transitional Measures) During the transition period from the effective date of this Policy until March 31, 2026, Kyubei Co., Ltd. shall operate this Service as our business contractor, as stipulated in Section 5, Item 3 of this Policy. Throughout this period, Kyubei Co., Ltd. shall bear all responsibility for managing personal data, and user data shall be handled in accordance with this Policy.
